Arianna Bortolami, Physiotherapist, Freelancer, Padua. Former Adjunct Professor, University of Verona. Born in Padua on November 29, 1963, graduated as a Rehabilitation Therapist in 1988 at the “Our Family” Institute in Conegliano Veneto (Tv), she graduated in Physiotherapy (new teaching system) in 2003 at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Padua and in 2007 at the same University the Specialist Degree in Sciences of the Health Professions of Rehabilitation. You obtained the title of Consultant in Sexology at the Research and Training Institute of Florence in 2013. You have served both in public facilities, such as Local Health Authorities or Hospitals, and in private facilities. You still work as a freelancer. She has been dealing with Physiotherapy and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation since 1998, both in relation to urological symptoms (incontinence, urgency, frequency, retention, etc.), and to color-procotological symptoms (fecal incontinence, constipation, anorectal pain), and by alterations of the pelvic statics (prolapse), both in relation to perineal pain syndromes and sexual dysfunctions related to muscle dysfunction. You have attended numerous Courses and Congresses regarding Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions; subsequently she participated as Speaker, Lecturer, Moderator in Courses and Congresses on the same topic, both locally and in the Companies and Associations of the sector of national and international importance. He is the author of the scientific book “Rehabilitation of the Pelvic Floor” (Masson Elsevier, 2009) dedicated to all Health Professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge in the field of rehabilitation of symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction. She was Adjunct Lecturer for the subject “Genito-Urological Rehabilitation” at the Degree Course in Physiotherapy, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Verona from the 2002-03 academic year to the 2006-07 academic year and for the subject “Rehabilitation of visceral disabilities” at the Degree Course in Physiotherapy, Integrative Year, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Brescia, in the academic year 2009-10. For the 2015/16 Academic Year she is Tutor for the subject “Urorehabilitation” at the Degree Course in Physiotherapy, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan-Bicocca. She was Founder and Head of the Group of Specialized Interest (GIS) Rehabilitation of the Pelvic Floor within the Italian Association of Physiotherapists (AIFi) from 2006 to 2015 .. You have been a member of the Scientific Committee of the “Italian Incontinent Federation” (Finco) from 2008 to 2015 and of the Special Section “Physiotherapy” of the “Italian Society of Pelvis-Perineology and Functional Female Urology” (Sipuf) since 2009. You have been a member of the “Physiotherapy Ambassadors Committee” of the International UroGynaecolgy Association (IUGA) since 2009.
