The course titled “Vestibular Strategies for the Outpatient Clinician” is a 3-day (21-hour) course that focuses on the anatomy, physiology, and treatment of balance and dizziness conditions often seen in patients with vertigo (BPPV), post-concussion syndrome, and whiplash.
Participants will learn about the different types of vestibular pathologies, including peripheral and central vestibular disorders and cervical disorders, and how to formulate an appropriate differential diagnosis. The course includes both didactic components and hands-on laboratory testing to help participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the material.
This course is designed specifically for the outpatient physical therapist that wants to become known as a cervical specialist in whiplash, concussion, headaches, and dizziness.
Participants will have confidence in treating and identifying common practice patterns in patients with vertigo (BPPV), post-concussion syndrome, and whiplash. They will be trained in the evaluation, differential diagnosis, and treatment of the dizzy patient, emphasizing the use of BPPV assessments, Vestibular Ocular Motor Screening (VOMS) assessments, and cervical musculoskeletal assessments. This will be supported by treatment strategies, progression, and management of post-concussion syndrome beyond visual & vestibular drivers, including blood flow abnormalities, metabolic inflammatory drivers, and psychological drivers.
The course objectives include:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the normal and pathological processes required for upright balance.
2. Appropriately identify the canal for treatment of inner ear pathology.
3. Accurately identify vestibular ocular dysfunction and hypofunction.
4. Understand and appropriately differentiate peripheral vestibular disorders.
5. Identify cervical disorders that contribute to dizziness.
6. Develop effective treatment strategies and pathways for each identified vestibular pathology.
Overall, this course is designed to provide clinicians with the knowledge and skills needed to diagnose and treat individuals with balance and dizziness issues effectively. Through a combination of didactic and hands-on learning, participants will gain a thorough understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the balance and dizziness system, as well as the different types of vestibular pathologies and appropriate treatment strategies.

Training, a steady value for more than twenty years now, leads physiotherapy and keeps it at a very high level, well done to George Karambalis and his associates, we owe a lot to all of you.
EPIMORFOSIS organizes specialization seminars for rehabilitation professionals. I’ve watched a lot. I strongly recommend you trust EPIMORFOSIS for your specialization and lifelong information.
EPIMORFOSIS justifies its name by providing high quality courses. George Karampalis operates more like a constant “trainee” and less like an entrepreneur, and this is an additional positive fact in the effort that is put by the workers and teachers of EPIMORFOSIS.
I have known George Karampalis and EPIMORFOSIS for many years. I’ve had the opportunity to join several clinical courses and I can argue that, at the level of organisation and selection of trainers, they have a high level of recognised prestige.
My first steps in professional specialization started with EPIMORFOSIS and continue. It has been with us all these years, covering the need for modern and documented knowledge, in collaboration with internationally acclaimed educational institutions.
The best physiotherapists training institution. It enables the development of the necessary knowledge for clinical reasoning. High-quality training without having to travel abroad.
