 GENERAL INFORMATION

This 4 day course is an introduction into the biomechanics of movement and Pilates. It is suitable for all Physiotherapists wanting to understand the Clinical application of Pilates and will include both a clinical Matwork and Reformer (video Demo) repertoire of exercises.
This is an intensive course focusing on the biomechanical assessment of any client. If you can easily identify and understand why there are movement failures which often lead to pain and problems, you will find it much easier to correct faulty movement patterns resulting in a happy, pain free client.
Following this course, you will also have an in depth understanding of your own physical issues and will leave armed with the know-how of how to correct it.
The theory is brought to life using examples found in the participants of the course and then later using Live case studies with real patients.
You will see for yourself how powerful well applied clinical Pilates can be. It is so much more than theory, you will be able to use the material covered on Monday morning!

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you have at least tried the reformer and have had some Pilates sessions yourself prior to attending this course.

The Reformer
The reformer offers an intuitive, low impact form of exercise which can be helpful in the treatment of multiple pathologies that will be discussed throughout the course.
Other studio equipment may be discussed but the focus during this introduction will be on Mat and Reformer.
It is clarified that the exercises concerning the Reformer will be shown either in slides (power point presentation) or in video (demo)

Conditions for which you will likely find Clinical Pilates useful:

• Osteoporosis
• Meniscus, patella problems
• Hip and Groin pain

• Cervical spine dysfunctions

LIVE case studies with patients

Reassessment will show the immediate improvement power of Clinical Pilates. This process builds confidence for you to be able to do this with your own clients immediately.

Testimonials

EPIMORFOSIS organizes specialization seminars for rehabilitation professionals. I’ve watched a lot. I strongly recommend you trust EPIMORFOSIS for your specialization and lifelong information.

- Alexandros Karagiannidis -

Training, a steady value for more than twenty years now, leads physiotherapy and keeps it at a very high level, well done to George Karambalis and his associates, we owe a lot to all of you.

- Philip Tzimoulis -

The best physiotherapists training institution. It enables the development of the necessary knowledge for clinical reasoning. High-quality training without having to travel abroad.

- Tsoukalas Kotsiris Georgios -

My first steps in professional specialization started with EPIMORFOSIS and continue. It has been with us all these years, covering the need for modern and documented knowledge, in collaboration with internationally acclaimed educational institutions.

- Kostas Poulis -

I have known George Karampalis and EPIMORFOSIS for many years. I’ve had the opportunity to join several clinical courses and I can argue that, at the level of organisation and selection of trainers, they have a high level of recognised prestige.

- Georgia Petta -

EPIMORFOSIS justifies its name by providing high quality courses. George Karampalis operates more like a constant “trainee” and less like an entrepreneur, and this is an additional positive fact in the effort that is put by the workers and teachers of EPIMORFOSIS.

- Dimitris Stamoulis -
