Renée finished her bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy in 1985 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
She soon moved to Switzerland where she worked in various private practices and clinics.
In 1994 Renée completed her postgraduate studies in manual therapy at Curtin university in Perth, Australia.
In 2001 she became a teacher of the International Maitland Teachers Association (IMTA).
From 1991 to 1994 and from 1997 to 2002 she taught physiotherapy training in Lucerne, Switzerland.
She was a member of the executive commissioner of the Swiss manual therapy association “Schweizerische Verband Orthopädischer Manipulativer Physiotherapie (SVOMP) also in the role of President.
From 1996 to 2003 she was editor of the journal of the Swiss therapy association SVOMP.
From 1997 – 2008 Renèe was SVOMP delegate for IFOMPT.
Renée currently works in Kriens near Lucerne, Switzerland in her private practice and teaches manual therapy in postgraduate courses in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.
In 2006 you started your MSc academic study in “Medical Education” at the University of Bern.
Since January 2010 Renée has been teaching the MAS program in “Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy” at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Winterthur, Zurich, Switzerland.
Her particular field of interest is the development of Curricula and its application in physiotherapy training.
