Mr. Christos Phil. Komissopoulos is a Physiotherapist with more than 23 years of teaching experience in the fields of Clinical Neurorehabilitation and Clinical Respiratory and ICU Physiotherapy (TEI Lamia & Athens), Kinesiology and Biomechanics, and Neuromusculoskeletal Physiology and Rehabilitation and Evidenced Based Therapy (AMC- Queen Margaret and Oxford Brookes University).
He holds a “BSc in Physiotherapy”, (TEI Athens-1996) a “MSc in Neurorehabilitation”, (Brunel University-1999) and a “Post Graduate Specialisation Certificate in Hand Revalidation and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery” (Katholieke Universiteit van Leuven & Belgian Hand Therapy Society-1995).
He has introduced “Geriatric Physiotherapy” in Greece (2007) and he works in an Open Geriatric Centre, since 2000. In the scope of continuous education, he participates in numerous scientific events and he is an active member of greek and international scientific organisations. He is an Accredited “OTAGO” Cascade Trainer (since 2014) and a volunteer to the Bone Health Society “Butterfly” activities, since 2007.
He has provided scientific translation during seminars with EPIMORFOSIS for more than ten years.
His scientific interests include Peripheral Nerve Injuries, Electrotherapy application, Therapy Massage, Hand Rehabilitation, Neurorehabilitation, Falls Prevention and Exercise and Kinesiotherapy as an intervention for musculoskeletal health prevention and promotion.
